概要

1. The main goal of the lecture is to introduce the concept of 
   transfer functions of nonlinear systems which are defined as 
   quotient of the (non-commutative) skew polynomials. Such objects, 
   when associated to a nonlinear system, admit many properties we 
   expect of transfer functions of which some are discussed. These are 
   related to the invariance of transfer functions, to nonlinear 
   systems interconnections, and to controllability and observability 
   of a nonlinear system. Some possible applications of the transfer 
   function formalism are outlined.

 Speaker's biographcal sketch: 

   Miroslav Halas was born in Slovakia in 1979. He received his 
   master's (Ing.) degree in 2003 and his Ph.D. degree in 2006, both 
   from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information 
   Technology of the Slovak University of Technology. Since 2006 he 
   has been with the Institute of Control and Industrial Informatics 
   at the same faculty where he is currently associate professor. He 
   has held visits at universities abroad including Tallinn University 
   of Technology (Estonia), Institut de Recherche en Communications et 
   Cybernetique de Nantes (France), Chalmers University of Technology, 
   Gothenburg (Sweden) and Czech Technical University in Prague (Czech 
   Republic). His main research interests include nonlinear control 
   systems (continuous-, discrete-time and time-delay).
